Tangle Teezer Review

Im sorry (not really) but im not buying this item.

Oh …. its only $10 bucks you say????

Well i guess thats 10 more bucks in my pocket……

My bandwagon days are over and i have to have a damn good reason to jump on the next 1. So until its not a brush without a handle, im not spending my money on it. It seems like everybody in the natural hair community has this thing… PSSH OH WELL!

But guess who doesn’t care??? Just guess??? Yea….. ME! I don’t…

So instead of wasting my hard earned money on the is item, ill just read and share reviews of others who have wasted… i mean spent their money on this this item because just because you take the handle of a brush and use a word Barney gave you for it, doesnt mean i want to buy it.

But if you DO HAVE THIS ITEM,PLEASE come out of lurk mode and comment and tell me what you think about it.

What it worth your money or would you send it back? How is it any different then a denman brush? I want to hear from you guys!

  1. I used my Tangle Teezer for the first time last week and I have to say that this is not a “must have” tool. I think it’s a good follow up to the ol’ trusty Jilbre shower comb, but this isn’t a tool I would put on the front lines of the battle field.

The bristles don’t seem sturdy enough. After using it, I could see the base of some of the bristles turn white because of the plastic bending. I’m not sure how many uses I’ll actually get out of it before it falls apart.

  2. I bought it about a month ago and I prefer it over my denman. I’ve had my denman since sept and I’ve used it to detangle twice. Even modded, it pulls out more hair than the TT. Also, I can get through all of my hair faster with the TT. I’ll keep my denman for when my hair is straight.

  3. Well I don’t own a denman, or any other brush for that matter. I tend to buy creams/oils and not styling tools. What I DO own is 2 tenderheaded daughters, and I borrowed a TT from a friend last week…that thing was amazing. No tears, no complaining…as far as I’m concerned it will be worth the $10. I guess that’s ok if I don’t have a brush, right? Lol!

  4. Denman brush rips my hair out even though I removed a few rows (leaving 3). This has more flexible bristles so it doesn’t do any ripping. If a tangle is too tight, I get it with my fingers. It takes longer to detangle with the TT though. I have less hair left in the brush in the end though. If you already have a working detangling tool, no reason to buy the TT.

  5. I have the Tangle Teezer and I have to say that it is THE best thing ever to detangle my hair so efficiently. The handle is hardly the issue for me. What could’ve been a legitimate cause for concern for my coarse 4a/b hair is the volume of bristles on the surface. I thought it would be like using a small-tooth comb. But I was so wrong! Once my hair was loaded with conditioner, I started detangling and that was the first time I had ever seen DEFINED curls while detangling. It smooths so well and I could run my fingers through my hair with such ease! I definitely don’t regret buying it and it definitely wasn’t a waste of money for me 🙂

  6. Girrrrl my sister and I said the same thing last night! All this talk about a new product, ugh! Over it! Stick to something that works and keep it moving! Great post! 🙂

  7. This is actually one of the few “bandwagon” items that I have purchased since I BC’d 10 months ago. It’s good — like really, REALLY good!!

  8. I agree completely! I don’t know if its me experiencing excessive shedding but i feel like the denman pulls out too much hair so I’m sticking to my handy dandy large toothed comb. if I win a TT in a contest, then sure. I’m student, so money is tight. It even hurt when I spent the money on the denman lol!

  9. It's a secret :P says:

The tangle teezer is the best hairbrush in the frickin’ world!! It’s worth every penny. I noticed the difference of my hair when I started brushing it with one.
