Tumblr Question: I recently got my hair pressed out and now my hair won’t revert back to my natural curl pattern. What can i do?
Hi! It sounds to me like you have heat damage. There is very little that you can do about this. You can try to reconstruct your hair with protein treatments, grow it out or cut it off. There is really nothing else that you can do.
Baby your hair, come up with a regimen if you don’t have one because you will need it to get you over this hump. Mask the damage with rod sets and cover it with twistouts as best as you can. When your hair grows out to a comfortable point, cut the damage off and start fresh! Good luck on with your hair’s recovery!
Any more tips to add ladies?

As the original posters stated, this sounds like heat damage. I wonder if you need to press your hair at all,to achieve a straight look.
My suggestions, for a straight look would be to stay away from pressing combs. You maybe able to blow out your hair with medium heat and use a flat iron. With natural hair these is going to be body and bounce to.even the straight styles, so one has to get use to and accumulated to that.
I would suggest letting it grow out and the use ofrods and/or twist out as was stated already.
Good Luck!
You might want to do a beer rinse on your hair. I saw a video that Prettydimples01 covered about hair not reverting for a client and they tried it. Here’s the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cnl57aBg-8c
You really make it appear really easy along with your presentation however I to find this topic to be really something which I feel I would never understand. It kind of feels too complex and very vast for me. I am having a look ahead for your next put up, I will try to get the hold of it!|
