I have been protective styling a lot lately. I don’t know if it’s just sheer laziness of what but I have been going for simplicity lately.
It’s nice to be able to hope out the shower and just throw my hair up quickly. I usually do this style in about 20 minutes. I usually do it at night so that’s a plus!
I know a lot of naturals don’t know how to make a natural hair bun but it’s really easy.
I made this bun out of stockings and socks, old school. If you want to know how to make one, check the video below
You can add stockings to the last layer of it to stop the drying effect of the cotton.
I have 2 buns that I wear. I wear the sock bun which is easiest and I take the same steps to prep my hair for each one.
– Wash and condition my hair
– Leave-in conditioner of your choice
– Seal with a heavy butter or oil ( this bun may be in for a week and make sure you concentrate on your ends)
You basically follow the same process below for both of them. The video below is obviously old. I look so young
