One of the most important aspects of looking after your hair is making sure that you are using the right kinds of treatment for your specific kind of hair. We all have a specific type of hair and knowing what you are dealing with can be as important as anything else in retaining healthy, hair hair.
A common hair type that is known for being dry is 4C hair. Typically, it has very little definition to it and can be molded into whatever you need – it also needs more care than other kinds of hair. It happens to be my favorite hair type. It’s beautiful to me.
However, regardless of what kind of hair you have, using specific kinds of butter can be a great way to get your hair back into shape – specifically Shea butter recipes.
Finding these recipes aren’t really that hard to find. However, we understand that knowing what you are putting into your hair and the effect it will have is pretty important. Therefore, here is an excellent simple Shea butter recipe you can use to great seal in serious moisture for your hair;
What You’ll Need
-
¾ cup of Shea butter
-
1/3 cup of Coconut oil
-
½ teaspoon of Jojoba oil
-
1 teaspoon of Rosehip seed oil
-
3-4 drops of Vanilla fragrance oil
This simple and effective process can be completed in a matter of minutes and will give your hair the moisture that it’s looking for. The quality of everything in here, from the coconut oil to the rosehip seed oil, will give your hair extra nutrition and make sure it retains a healthy, vibrant look for the remainder of the week.
What To Do
-
To create this, simply scoop it around three quarters of the Shea butter, and place it in a non-plastic bowl
-
Next place it in the microwave for up to 45 seconds ( or shorter depending on how solid it is) – this will soften it up
-
Add in the extra oils and fragrances mentioned above to get the mixture prepared
-
Mix with a hand mixer or an electric one if you have it available, until it goes into a fine whipped format
-
Stick it in the fridge until it’s literally capable of melting in your hands
The best way to get the maximum effectiveness out of this mix is to use it in smaller batches until you find the levels needed to give your hair the moisture that it needs. Natural hair can be a real problem to deal with when it come to moistures but this can be rectified by using the recipe above, as well as many other Shea butter recipes that are available.
