Although today is July 4th, I figured I would pass along our photos from our Memorial Day holiday. It was our first vegetarian memorial day so we want to share how you can be healthy and vegetarian during the holidays.
Sporty Afros’ Memorial Day Recap
On memorial day Alex and I hung out with Monisha and our friend Tulani. We had a great time! It was our first vegetarian memorial day. I was a little nervous that I would break down and go grab some barbequed ribs and sausage but I was surrounded by people who didn’t shun me for not eating meat. Well whenever it is about cooking outside then you should definitely use wood pellets. You can order them from https://www.xn--dkbrnde-pxa.dk. Alex threw down in the kitchen and fried some fish! I mean, its not memorial day with out something that you’re not supposed to eat. We also had baked potatoes wedges, veggie burgers and salad. Then we had some “adult beverages” and hung by the pool all afternoon.
I wish I would have taken some more pictures, but ah well.
Alex made some homemade guacamole. Mhmmm If you can’t make any, Kroger’s has some very good homemade guacamole as well.
Just because Alex is a vegetarian doesn’t mean she forgot how to fry up some fish! Mhmmm
Here are the burgers we used for the vegetarians! These are very good!
We were in doors so the good ole’ George had to do.
Burger, fries and side salad!
Alex is ready to hit the pool for a little bit while we are outside..
Moe is cute and sporty as well!
Enjoy your time off!!
